Who we are

Chiles y Maíz is a free weekly trade brief for Mexican and Latin food shops and restaurants in Europe, published by Ioannis Volos, an individual based in Greece. For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@chilesymaiz.com.

What we collect

When you join the brief, we collect your email address and the language you chose for it (English or Spanish). We also record which signup form you used and which version of the consent wording you accepted. Through the double opt-in, our email provider keeps a record of your confirmation (date, time and IP address) as proof of consent. We don't collect anything else.

Why we collect it

Only to send you the weekly brief and to manage your subscription.

Legal basis

Your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given when you confirm your signup by clicking the link in the double opt-in email. You can withdraw it at any time.

Who processes it

Two service providers act on our instructions under data processing agreements:

We never sell your data or share it with anyone else.

How long we keep it

While you are subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep only a minimal suppression record so we don't email you again.

Your rights

You can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can withdraw your consent at any time. Write to privacy@chilesymaiz.com. You also have the right to complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (HDPA, www.dpa.gr), our supervisory authority in Greece.

Unsubscribing

Every email includes a one-click unsubscribe link. You can also write to privacy@chilesymaiz.com.
