Requirements
- For the advertising to be functional, it is necessary that the businesses that offer discounts have implemented a promotional code, shared with Chiles y Maíz in the box of the shopping cart of their online store.
Media and Information about Advertising
- Advertising will be disseminated through the facebook messenger chatbot of "Chiles y Maíz”, starting with a free beta stage so that advertised businesses have the opportunity to meet it and learn its best management to achieve greater results.
- During the beta stage, advertising will be placed on the “Chiles y Maíz” Facebook page and site, in various Facebook groups, and paid advertising campaigns will be run within the Facebook platform at no cost to participating businesses. In addition, businesses that offer discounts will be given a link that they can use to offer their advertising to the Facebook groups of their choice, emails and any medium that accepts the placement of the link.
- The default validity of advertising during the beta stage is three weeks with the option of renewal.
- The business will be notified prior to the conclusion of the advertising beta stage and will be presented with the terms of the new stage for review and acceptance.
- The business is in charge of implementing a promotional code, shared with "Chiles y Maíz", at its point of sale to meet the advertising needs.
- The business is solely responsible for the discounts offered and undertakes to notify "Chiles y Maíz" 48 hours in advance for their modification or cancellation, accepting the use of the Discount Form as the sole means of notification.
- Businesses that offer discounts will be highlighted with a star sign in their name tab in the search by country section of the advertisement.

Advertising
- Two types of advertising available:
a) businesses advertised without offering any discount
b) advertised businesses offering discounts on their products
- Depending on the type of advertising, they have the following sections:
a) without discount:
1) Informative section with three sections (according to availability):
– Information – button with a link to the entry of the business in the Directory of Mexican Food Products in Europe where you can access the following information:
* Business name
* Representative image of the business or logo with a link to its sales page
* Name of manager
* Type of reference place (store, factory/workshop, contact, distribution) and address
* Telephones and type/purpose of them (store, info/orders, mobile)
* Emails
* Link of the website or, failing that, of the social media in charge of sales (online store, online orders). Link to the wholesale business website that makes direct sales to the public and does not have a shopping cart (informative web page).
* Business social media
* Business description
* Products, deliveries/shipments, schedules, payment methods
– Location – button with a link to a “Google” or “Here” map (depending on availability) with the location of the business.
– Send message – button with a link to the Facebook Messenger of the business (according to availability) so that the user can establish direct communication with the business.
2) "Product Categories" section that shows a synopsis of the products handled by the business through an animated gif composed of images with category legends. The advertisements created to launch the beta stage carry images by default, representative of the categories that appear on the business website, according to our investigation. The section can be modified and even deleted (not recommended) using the Discount Form.
3) Section to add a business to the Directory and/or add discounts.
4a) Non-subscribed users:
Option to see more businesses and authorization request to send business news to the user and thanks (only for non-subscribed users). Automatic redirection to the country selection section to be able to see more businesses in case the user subscribes.
4b) Subscribed users:
Redirection to the exit where you can choose between "see more business", "quiz game" and "go to the blog".
b) with discount:
1) Information section with three sections (see above)
2) Section "Product Categories" (see above)
3) Image gallery section of up to 10 categories and/or products with description and discount offered on each image. The advertisements with discounts created to launch the beta stage, carry fictitious discounts of products managed by the business for display reasons and it is necessary to modify them using the Discount Form
4) Offer of business promotion code with possible affirmative, negative and add business/discount answers for your business. The response paths are as follows:
- Affirmative:
* A "Like" is requested for the Chiles y Maíz Facebook page with the option of going to the "Like" button, with notice that the code will be available upon returning to the bot. Other options available:
– Refusal to provide “Likes”: The user goes to the “promotions vault” where he can apply his code or leave it saved and go to the exit where he can choose between “see more businesses”, “quiz game” and "go to the blog"
Note: Once in the promotion code offer section, the user is redirected to the “promotion vault” after 5 seconds of inactivity. The redirect is implemented so that your code is available to apply upon your return to the bot, should you have chosen to “Like” our Facebook page.
If the user decides to apply a promotional code, the "Gallery of discounts" of the business whose code has been applied appears again. This time, a button appears below each product, which takes the user to the business's online store, where they can add the product to the shopping cart. The user can stay in the store and navigate within it, with the possibility of adding products that do not appear in the chatbot or return to it to add more promoted products. The user can navigate within the store and return to the bot as many times as they wish. The round trip from the bot to the store and vice versa is always available.
– Negative:
* Email request (only for unsubscribed users)
* The user is offered the options to "see more businesses", "quiz game" and "go to the blog".
– Add business: It goes to the business promotion section where you can choose between "add business" to make an entry in the Directory of Mexican Food Products in Europe, "offer promotion" to add discounts and "see more details" to see the Advertising Terms (this page).
